Dave Mail 25: Fender Tube Reverb '63

During the "By The Way" tour, a Fender Tube Reverb '63 head was added to the pedals, with a footswitch. How was it used? Was it in some way among the pedals signal chain?

Dave Lee: "Yes. I remember that reverb tank well. It was in the signal chain. The problem is it was very noisy. If John walked past it, the spring would rattle real loud. I had to build a little box for it with elastic straps inside and suspend the reverb tank off the ground. As a kind of a shock absorbing system. It worked. I was glad when he decided to stop using it though."
