Dave Mail 99: '61 Fiesta Red Stratocaster

Dave, can you tell me about the '61 Fender Fiesta Red Stratocaster? From what I know, John Frusciante got it from a brazilian guy at the Guitar Center in LA, along with a VOX AC30 and the Olympic White Stratocaster, also from 1961, in 2004.

Dave Lee: "Red Strat. Very rare guitar. Original factory paint. But has another color underneath. Fender factory said that to do one color over with another color did sometimes happen during the early days at Fender. And this guitar is an example of that."
