I am also interested in knowing what size frets John played and how many re-frets his guitars had to have during the years you worked with him? Did John keep the 7.25 vintage radius or have it planed down to the now common 9.5?

Dave Lee: "We had a couple of the more 'workhorse' guitars refretted. We replaced the frets with the same size that was stock on the guitar. We did plane the Strats' fingerboards down to 9.5 to avoid fretting out while bending."
