Dave Mail 5: First meeting John Frusciante

How did you first meet John Frusciante?

Dave Lee: "The first time I met John was during the time of the One Hot Minute tour. I went to Flea's house for something, and John was there. I don't want to get too personal, but he wasn't doing well at the time. And Flea was hoping to help him. He was messing with a Mesa Boogie amp that was in Flea's studio in his garage. He said "Oh. You're Dave's tech? Maybe you can fix this amp. It's broken." Then he proceeded to turn on the power switch. As he played nothing came out. He says... "See? It's broken." I then reached around the back and flipped the standby switch. He says "You fixed it!" That was my first "encounter" with JF. That story makes me miss him alot."
