Dave Mail 63: "Fuck Anthony Kiedis!"

In 2001 and 2005, you helped John Frusciante with his acoustic shows. What were the main differences of that to working with a regular Chili Peppers' show?

Dave Lee: "Well. It was much easier. Just two acoustic guitars. Those shows were really fun, though. We never knew what he was gonna do or say. At one show in New York, a fan in the audience yelled out "Fuck Anthony Kiedis!", obviously in an attempt to show support of John's solo efforts. John sat there silent for a second. Then just said "Uhm... I love Anthony Keidis. So fuck you dude." It was hilarious."
