Dave Mail 11: The WH-10 and replacement attempts

As Frusciante said in an interview for Total Guitar in august 2006, during the recording of the Stadium Arcadium he started searching for other wah sounds (because there was to much WH-10 parts), and he bought different wahs, and the only one that he liked was the Dunlop Cry Baby DB-02 Dime Custom. Do you remember in which songs he used this pedal

Dave Lee: "Yeah. During the recording of Stadium we did some experimentation to find a viable alternative to the fragile, and difficult to find WH-10. He did like the Dime wah. He messed with it for a couple days. At one time I remember him looking at me while playing it, stopped, and with a smile said "This thing would make your life alot easier." We hade a laugh. But soon after he apologetically said he couldn't part with his WH-10."

In 2004, Frusciante also added a Cry Baby 535q for his live setup, getting two wahs in it. Was he trying to have a different wah sound or maybe replace the WH-10 in the future?

Dave Lee: "I'm sorry. I don't remember having two whas on the board at once."
