With all of the effects John used, were there ever any problems with noise? I have read that you used batteries in the pedals that could use them, but was there anything else you did to reduce the hum & hiss in John’s setup?
Dave Lee: "John had a reasonable understanding that some (especially vintage) pedals will be noisy. So, he usually just lived with it. The fact that his actual tone out of his amps was clean, it helped to not really "gain up" any noisy pedals."
